Anne Romanik

Anne Romanik, 98, of North Tonawanda on September 19, 2017. Anne was born in Homer City, PA on December 15, 1918 to the late Michael and Mary (Cybak) Romanik.

Her love for children took her from Homer City to Cleveland, OH where she became a devoted pediatric nurse. Upon retiring from the Cleveland Clinic, Anne returned to Homer City to care for her parents, then later moved to Akron, NY. She was a member of the Pembroke Community Church, where she was loved and known as" the Candy Lady". Anne enjoyed sewing, embroidering, quilting, reading, and learning new facts and words. She had a big heart for all children.

Anne was a loving aunt to 7 nieces and nephews; great aunt to 17 and great-great aunt to 28. Besides her parents, a sister, Irene Bencic and a brother, Edward Romanik predecease her.

Friends and relatives may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday September 24, at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, where a funeral service will take place on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
