Marie Martin

Marie Martin passed away peacefully on October 22, 2017. She was born in Buffalo, New York on January 15, 1921 to the late Clifford and Avis (Sundown) Poodry.

Marie was a1939 graduate of Akron Central High School. She retired from Doehler-Jarvis in Batavia and was a proud member of the Snipe Clan.  Marie was a charter member of the Myron Ground Legion in Basom and part of the Women’s Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed being part of the Senior's Group at the community building.

A daughter, Lois (Emerson) Webster; a son, Clifton (Nancy) Poodry; and a sister, Beverly (Alan) Abrams survive Marie. Seven grandchildren: Brian, Jen, Betty, Monica, Toni, Erin, and Colin; seventeen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; several cousins and many nieces and nephews also survive her.

Services are private. A Celebration of Marie's Life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at The Community Center on The Tonawanda Indian Reservation.
