Norman Thuman

Norman Thuman, of Akron entered into rest on May 3, 2018. He was born April 5, 1942 in Buffalo to the late August and Elvira (Miller) Thuman.                                                                          

Norman served in the United States Army. His love of yard work led him to own and operate his own lawn care company for many years. He always kept himself busy. The highlight of his day was drinking coffee with friends and family.  He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren.

Beloved father of Marjorie (Jim) Rusnell of Akron; cherished grandfather of Alexandria Rusnell, Seth Rusnell, Nicholas Thuman, Ken Thuman, Norman Thuman III, Richard Cole, and Ken Cole. Norman is also survived by a brother, Lenard Thuman; two sisters, Joan (Whitty) Spoth, Ruthann Murry; and many nieces and nephews. His wife, Jean (Steger) Thuman and a son, Kenny predecease him.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Visitation on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, from 4 pm to 8 pm, at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron. A Memorial Service will follow at 8 pm.
